How does virtual tutoring work?
Virtual tutoring works through a simple website. There is no download required, just internet access.

During a session, the tutor and student will be able to see their live videos as well as the tutor's digital notes in real time.
​
We recommend having a laptop charger or using a desktop. Likewise, we recommend a minimum download/upload WiFi speed of 2.0Mbps/2.5Mbps or a direct ethernet connection. If you will be in a public space, we also recommend headphones. You can find more detailed info about virtual tutoring here.

Can I work with the same tutor again?
Once you identify a tutor you feel is a good fit, we highly recommend working with that same tutor each session. Our philosophy is that building relationships is central to successful tutoring. The better a tutor knows you and your learning style, the better able the tutor is to individualize the session for you.

What can I get help with?
We focus on Science, Math, College Essay Writing and Standardized Test Preparation (ex: SAT, ACT, PSAT, SSAT, etc.). You can get help with many different elementary school, middle school, high school and college-level courses. See the full list of our offerings here.

We also have a great deal of experience working with students to manage all of their courses and working with students with learning differences. If you have questions about subjects or areas of tutoring, please contact us.

Do I get to keep our session notes?
Absolutely!
​
We will email you a pdf of our notes at the end of the session. Having a digital copy in your email means no more lost notes and makes staying organized easy.

What's the minimum time to work with a tutor?

The minimum amount of time to schedule is a one-hour.

We feel that it a good amount of time to dig deep in the material and really focus.
